The Snowboard World Cup in Flachau delivered two important results for the slopestyle season. Mia Brookes won the women’s contest with 73.25 points and Eli Bouchard took the men’s event with 81.11, giving both riders a major late-season World Cup result in AbsolutPark.
Brookes was the central story on the women’s side. Her win followed an already dominant week in Flachau, where she had also won the Spring Battle rail and slopestyle contests and the public award. In the World Cup final, her first run was enough to secure victory, built on strong rail execution and clean kicker tricks including a backside 900 melon and cab 900 tail. It was her second career World Cup slopestyle win and a direct response after a disappointing Olympic campaign.
Anna Gasser finished second with 72.43 and produced one of the most significant rides of the final. After being unsatisfied with her opening score, she increased the difficulty on the rails in her second run and moved into podium position on home snow. For Gasser, the result mattered beyond the points. At 34, it was a high-level finish at the end of a difficult season and a reminder that she remains competitive with the world’s best in slopestyle.
Third place went to Lily Dhawornvej of the United States with 66.61. That result also carried broader season implications, as official event reporting stated that Dhawornvej moved into the overall World Cup lead with the podium.
The men’s final added another breakthrough performance. Bouchard, still only 18, won with 81.11 after adjusting his rail approach from earlier in the week. His run combined technical rail riding with high-value kicker tricks, including his signature McBouch and a cab triple 16 mute. It was his first World Cup slopestyle victory and one of the clearest progression markers of the season.
Justus Henkes finished second with 76.91, backing up his Spring Battle success with another strong slopestyle result on the same course. Hiroto Ogiwara placed third on 72.58 for his first Slopestyle World Cup podium, adding another milestone to his season and extending Japan’s strength across snowboard freestyle disciplines.
Flachau again showed its value on the international snowboard calendar. The event combined a compact final field, high scoring runs and meaningful World Cup consequences. Brookes left as the week’s dominant rider, Bouchard left with a career-first win, and Gasser delivered one of the most locally significant podiums of the season.
