Aurelien Giraud is exceptional. Stronger and faster than many in the field, he also possesses the ability to hit the sweet spot between speed and power, which can send tricks double their anticipated distance. However, at that point, the game becomes hanging on to the landing at motorcycle speeds. In a single contest in the summer of 2021, Aurelien broke not one but three boards, which, for the sake of time, had to be replaced entirely. Despite being a close silver at World Street Skateboarding Rome in 2022, he went one better to win the World Championship on his birthday that year. However, since then, he has only managed two 8th place finishes in finals and elected not to defend his title at WST Tokyo.
