Brendan Mackay

Brendan Mackay knows the physics of flight—and how to break the rules. The Calgary native splits his time between the halfpipe and the physics lab at the University of Calgary, where he’s working toward his master’s degree. He puts those theories to work on snow, stacking podiums with a blend of mathematical precision including four-way doubles – including a double cork 1620—and inherent style. Mackay honed his skills at Canada Olympic Park, the same venue where he delivered one of his most dominant performances—back-to-back World Cup wins in 2022 that earned him the FIS Crystal Globe and the momentum to charge into his first Olympic Games in Beijing. He’s continued on an upward trajectory since then, 2023 saw Mackay claim the FIS World Championship title and he’s continued to collect World Cup podiums.
