Early on in skateboard contest culture, the USA held an advantage in that they were the first to develop skateparks where parents and children could co-exist with teenagers and young adults. One of those, Encinitas YMCA, has produced two Olympic hopefuls- childhood best friends Brighton Zeuner and Bryce Wettstein. To describe Bryce Wettstein as unique doesn't really grasp what is so special about her; beneath her whimsical nature there lies a kick-ass skateboarder whose grabless backside ollies in the deep-end speak to unteachable courage and technique. She has probably the widest trick repertoire of all the Women’s Park field. So much so, she often keeps going after the buzzer without once repeating herself. Nothing short of magic, and sunny with it.
