In a sort of one-two punch of improvement between WST stops, Keefer joined Australian team-mate Charlotte Heath in jumping from also-rans in Sharjah to Semi-finalists in San Juan. In Keefer’s case, he jumped 12 places from 24th to 12th thanks to his ever-growing ability to handle big air through skating multiple different terrains from Vert to his own backyard Mega-Ramp. An accomplished BMXer in his own right (he can backflip on a bike), Keefer is hitting his prime at just the right moment for his Olympic aspirations in a genre in which teenagers don’t necessarily dominate.
