The Tokyo 2020 gold medalist struggled with injury along the Road To Paris. A poised and accomplished vert skater in her own right (which is something not necessarily true of many others here), Sakura is not intimidated by big parks and that has stood her in good stead, particularly in the enormous OQS Shanghai behemoth where she made her first podium since Tokyo. The 2019 Vans Park Series World Champion won 2020 Tokyo Olympic gold with her very first run- but it now remains to be seen whether she can find that dominance again in a post-Paris era.
