The Skate.ch ESC Basel presented by LAAX 2025 wrapped up on Sunday, August 31, at the historic Kunsteisbahn Margarethen in Basel, Switzerland, with Mauro Iglesias (ARG) and Mila Coolen (BEL) taking top honors in the men’s and women’s street finals respectively.

The contest is a flagship stop on the European Skateboard Contest series and drew an international field to a packed venue, with hundreds of spectators turning out for a full day of high-level skateboarding, music, and community events.

Men's Final: Argentina Goes 1–2

Mauro Iglesias took the win with a score of 92.67, narrowly edging fellow Argentine Matias Del Olio (92.17). Both riders threw down technical, high-speed runs with consistent execution. This victory marks a strong comeback for Iglesias, who had been outside the top three in his last two major finals appearances earlier this summer.

France’s Max Berguin rounded out the podium with a solid 90.33, continuing his rise after a third-place finish at the Montpellier event in July.

Women's Final: Belgian Breakthrough

In the women’s division, Mila Coolen from Belgium claimed the win with a score of 80.67, edging out Spain’s Daniela Tevol (80.00) in one of the closest finals of the year. Coolen’s clean style and control under pressure stood out on the technical course layout.

Barcelona’s Ivet Terol, just 13 years old, impressed with a third-place finish and a score of 78.33, confirming her as one of the most promising young talents in Europe.
