Su Yiming opened the snowboard Big Air season with 174.50 and his first World Cup victory since December 2023. Ge Chunyu completed a home one-two. Ryoma Kimata placed third. The win gives Su an immediate standings lead and signals a return to pre-injury form ahead of an Olympic qualifying winter.
Japan dominated the snowboard women. Mari Fukada won on 156.75, with Reira Iwabuchi second and Miyabi Onitsuka third. Fukada’s result follows her 2024–25 title fight, where she tied Mia Brookes on points and lost the Globe on tiebreak. The depth of Japan’s roster again converted to podium control.
Freeski finals were advanced to Saturday due to forecasted weather, increasing the premium on early execution. Kirsty Muir handled the shift best, landing the highest women’s trick of the day and totaling 174.50. Naomi Urness earned a first career World Cup podium. Liu Mengting delivered a home-soil third.
Troy Podmilsak produced men’s freeski’s top two-run total at 185.50, built on a switch right triple 1980 and right triple 2160. Dylan Deschamps and Crystal Globe holder Luca Harrington completed the podium. With Secret Garden designated as one of the key Olympic qualifiers, Podmilsak’s opener provides meaningful buffer in team selection battles. The tour moves to Beijing’s Shougang Park next week.
