Ginwoo and Chenxi Cui Dominate FISE Battle of the Champions 2025 in Macau

Published Mar 23, 2025

The 2025 edition of FISE Battle of the Champions wrapped up in Macau on March 23, featuring a skateboarding-only format for the first time. Held at the newly built Studio City Skatepark, the event adopted a dynamic head-to-head battle structure that thrilled both fans on-site and online.

Winners:

Ginwoo Onodera (Japan)
Chenxi Cui (China)

Ginwoo Onodera impressed once again with a composed, technical display that secured him victory in the men’s event. The 14-year-old continues his dominant run following a string of international podiums in 2024 and now kicks off 2025 with another major title.

In the women’s division, Chenxi Cui claimed the win with a strong, consistent performance throughout the bracket, showcasing the progression of Chinese skateboarding on the world stage.

The event drew strong local support and international attention, thanks in part to side events including amateur contests, junior showcases, and the official launch of the new Studio City Skatepark — Macau’s first permanent skate facility. The venue is expected to play a key role in developing the region’s skateboarding talent.
