Competition Format
The Snow League introduces a fresh, high-stakes structure to elevate halfpipe competition:
- Qualifying Round (Today, March 7, 2025):
- Riders are divided into four heats, with seeding based on Snow League rankings and the World Snowboard Points List (WSPL).
- Each rider gets two runs, with the best score counting.
- Heat winners automatically advance to Finals Day. The second- and third-place riders enter the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).
- Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ):
- Eight riders compete for the final four spots in the finals.
- Two runs per athlete, best score counts.
- The top four riders advance.
- Finals Day (March 8, 2025):
- Eight riders face off in a head-to-head bracket format.
- Each matchup is a best-of-three, with mandatory right-hand and left-hand wall drops in the first two runs.
- The winners progress through the bracket until a champion is crowned.
The action begins today in Aspen, setting the stage for what promises to be an electrifying new era in halfpipe snowboarding.
